Rob is a graduate of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey - Class of 2013. His passion for music started at a young age with a focus on classical piano. Throughout his formative years, Rob learned various mallet percussion of which he was a member of the many ensembles at Clifton High School. In 2008 he was selected as Drum Major of the world-renowned Clifton High School Mustang Marching Band - "The Showband of the Northeast."
His enthusiasm for Holy Mother Church brought him to his baptismal church, St. Stephen’s R.C. Magyar Church (Passaic, NJ), where he first started to play the “king of instruments,” the organ. Rob is committed to the renewal of Sacred Music in the Catholic Church and encourages the use of the Churches venerable language, Latin, in the liturgy.
Rob has also performed with the semi-professional schola
Cantantes in Cordibus (Jersey City), and provides Sacred Music for Tridentine Masses offered throughout New Jersey. Most recently, Rob was honored to direct music for the first publicly celebrated Pontifical Mass, in the Extraordinary Form, since the Second Vatican Council celebrated by Bishop Arthur Serratelli at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, Paterson, in 2018. He is also a founding member of the Northern Jersey Catholic Chorale, a volunteer choir committed to preserving and providing Gregorian Chant and Sacred Polyphony to local parishes in the setting of the Holy Mass.
Rob’s passion for music and his love for the Church’s Sacred Tradition enlivens the liturgies at our parish.
